Well I just got back from Iowa. My wife and I went to visit a friend after my graduation last Friday. It was my first time seeing snow and hunting pheasants. What a trip it was! Had a great time. What a weekend of firsts. You couldn't ask for better friends. From the time we landed until our departure, my wife and I were treated like royalty. From first class accommodations at my bud's parent's house and cabin to the food to the friendship. What a great time.
The hunt took place at Beckridge Game Preserve. Also a first class operation. Can't wait to return next year!!!
And yes, those are hens as well as roosters. On the farm you can shoot both.
Posting from my phone. If it turns out bad, I'll repost.
Sweet. I am hoping to go to Nebraska next year to shoot pheasants. A friend of mine goes out there every year and I am trying to invite myself next year
:indian
Yeah. Definitely keep workin on him. Very fun hunt.
Tip: not as fast as quail. Let them get up and out a bit. Unless you want ground pheasant. Lol. I found out the hard way. A couple I just completely dusted. Used to pullin the trigger as soon as I get a bead on them.
That's one for my bucket list for sure. :toast
Mine too...Great time, glad you got to go!
