This might shoot everything out of the water, I hunted today and the moon rise was 9:51... I ran deer off at daylight from my stand. Then the first deer that I saw was at 9:00 and had deer in sight feeding until 12:23 they were all actively feeding. The moon wasn't under or over but yet it was a late morning feeding. It's not the norm. for me to sit that long in my stand but I didn't want to run off any deer and was hoping a buck would appear since my hunting season has been limited this season. I'm back in action but don't have much time left in the season.
:saluting
I have 5 registry bucks to my credit. All coming from public land. Every one except 1 of those deer were killed within 5 days of a full moon. So I am a firm believer in the full moon bringing the big boys out to play. Absolutely the best time to hunt.
