That's similar to the one I bought for golfing a few years ago. Crock borrowed it last year and has put it to good use, I assume!
I have the same exact RF. I like it a lot. I have yet to find any real shortcomings, but I have noticed that it has a hard time ranging distances beyond 350 yds or under 10 yards, neither of which are a reason not to buy a RF. Mine has been soaked when my backpack leaked during a major rainstorm, and, because I keep a good lense cleaner/anti-fogger on the lenses, it doesn't fog up either. Battery life is pretty good too.

That's all I needed to hear. I got tied up with work yesterday and am swamped again today but I'll find the time to get it ordered. I thought about buying 1 used but I'd rather have the warranty if I'm spending a couple hundred bucks. Thanks again guys.
Forgot to post up but I went ahead and bought a new Nikon 550. Forgot about the anti-fogger so I'll go out today and get some. Ready to use it this weekend! :rockon
one more thing to carry around and not use too much. for golf in a cart no biggie, but I'm trying to cut back on all the crap i lug around. I have one but generaly only use it when selecting stand locations and to put up a few markers for diff diistances. at under 50 yds I don't need it or binocs too much.
