any method that legal just dont want to hear about somebody hunt were they just show up to a high fence place and taken to a stand and 30min later a big buck walks out. No bragging about the acompplishment and compareing it to anybodys wma hunting.I wouls rather take a spike from a wma than an 8pt from one of those places. My bossman goes to them places and its just kinda funny how each time he gets a B&C buck. Its like they turned them loose from a fenced in area or had them tied to a tree. He said he shot at one buck 3 times and hitting just in front of it everytime and dirt just flying be fore he shot it and it just stood there like it was stoned or something.these places really make me wonder, but if thats your thing have at it. JMO and .02 Ill get of my soap box now

I'd hunt an active scrapeline over a feeder or food plot anytime.

Food plot and feeder are about the same to me. I have feeders and some have stands over them and some don't. When you hunt on a lease you all can't hunt the same place, it is just luck of the draw where you are able to hunt and that is where the feeder comes in or food plot. Also not all of the land is huntable so you are forced to do the plot or feeder. I only throw about 1 lb. of corn on my feeders so I not feeding very much just trying to get them to come thru my area. Also when you hunt the thick wswamps and woods you won't be stalking up on to many animals. If I had my choice it would be some private land hunting trails like the tvhunters. You can do that on WMAreas most of the time unless some one has beat you to it.

Those high fence hunts were they have fifty acers fenced like lower swanee, that should be outlawed. Go to texas and everyone has high fecnes, that are there for them to keep there deer on ther property and exotics if they have some.Hunting is hunting and killing is killing. I could have taken no joke 25 + hogs last year but I have killed so many that if they arn't 200-250 I won't take them. I guess as you get older you don't care about numbers it is more about qaulity. I love to whatch the pigs at the feeder they are funny some times. I guess to anser[ Johns Question] You hunt the way you want and I will hunt the way I want, just don't judge me and do the same for you.

I don't use feeders but do hunt over corn spread over the ground and food plots. Deer can visit the area and eat whenever they want to then like a natural feed source. Back when I hunted wmas I learned to find the natural feed sources and I still scout/hunt like this in my lease. I prefer to setup on natural feed sources (acorns) and believe me, most deer will pass over the corn to eat the fresh acorns. I put out more corn for camera pictures than I do for hunting.

As far as baiting is concerned, most everyone baits or plants foodplots here so I mainly do it to 'supplement' the natural feed sources. I feel as if I'm equal with my fellow members but I don't feel like I dependent on the corn to kill deer. Scrapes are what I hunt during the rut and I killed 3 bucks over scrapes last yr, not corn. I do think a lot of hunters here would not be sucessful without bait, as that's all they know how to hunt is over bait.

I do feel most bigger bucks won't visit a baited or natural food source during the day very much, so hunting the trails going to the food sources is where you will find me if I'm hunting a bigger buck. My expectations are not high to ever kill a bigger buck over bait except maybe during the rut.

Baitem' and fryem'

Actually in Tx I stalked free range, did not even have a blind. Here I have a quota hunt permit for Point Washinton, then my 100 acre leaseor 1400 acre area that only has 2 feeders and 1 shooting house on my part, so hope to do some stalking there too.
