you know they are not gonna make blaze req'd until a certain # have been shot. on private land your still taking a chance,but much less. on public land that is overcrowded with hunters of all skill levels the risk is much higher. there is no rule against hitting yourself in the head with a hammer either, just common sense. and blaze will not affect the hunt in any way. I'm not strict with it and may remove the blaze at x's so I don't give away a honey hole, coming or going, but will usualy at the very least put my hat in a branch nearby to let other hunters know I'm there.

nacho yeh they couldnt be bothered to do the right thing so it was all on them not that the surgury didnt work, glad to hear things went well for ya.
an orange bandana made into a sweatband or doo-rag will work, but something/anything is better than nothing and may help keep unwanted visitors away.
