Mine has a set screw to keep it from swiveling. Also you put a bungee thru the gambrel and around the base to keep the animal from twisting

I carry mine when I hunt by myself because I can't load a hog by myself. Deer, no problem. I just can't get a hog in the bed of the truck

Well that makes all kinds of sense... I like the winch aspect on these things...better for this old back. Thanks. :>)

Any down sides to these? There is a company in Tallahassee that sells them and I am thinking about ordering it from them. MADE IN THE USA!!!!!!!! Got to keep it in the country :gba :911

I can't think of a down side to it. I also use it to lift my generator in hte truck. Also to lift my mower up so I can change the blades
