Looks like this springs drought is taking its toll. I noticed myself, and also read elsewhere about the premature drop of hickory nuts. The ground is littered with them and they usually don't fall before bow season
Also at the camp, the big water oak is dropping small/underdeveloped acorns about the size of a pencil eraser. I noticed a ton of immature live oak acorns on the ground in the woods
