With a place as busy as Green Swamp, with folks in there year round, your game cam would be at risk every time you leave it out. A game cart would be your best buy initially, and if you can find some public places to hunt, or make it to one of the few WMA's with year-round hog hunting, the cart will be handy all year long.

I’m leaning towards getting the cart. I know how difficult is to drag a dead animal through the swamp after dragging the 90 pound hog I killed last month. I know that leaving the camera in the GS is a risk, which is why I’ll only buy a cheap one. However, I also know that you get what you pay for and probably be wasting my time/money buying a camera that is not going to work well.

Any suggestions/feedback as of game cameras in the $50-150 range?

Here is the one I have. It's going on two years and dozens of animals with no problems. Not sure if Cabala's sells this brand.

Thanks to all for the feedback.

John I: looks like an excellent cart. I go to BPS at least one a month and will check if they have it. What camera are you using? I’ve seen some pictures you posted and they look very good. Also, I remember reading (not sure if in this forum or somewhere else), that you set your camera in a WMA. Any bad experiences and/or precautions you take to avoid thieves, other than getting off the beaten path…
