Anybody know where I can get roasted soybeans for the feeder in Central Florida? I know exactly where to get em in the panhandle, but I'm not up for an 11 hour round trip drive and $150 in gas. I got a call from the local feed store and they quoted me $36.50 for a 50lb bag! I asked the lady what she was smokin and would she be willing to share. She didn't think it was funny. Last time I bought a 50lb bag, it as $8.50. Has the price gone up by like 450% in a year?

Not looking for C'mere deer. I was hoping that somebody had an idea of where I could get roasted soybeans in Central Florida. We get em in the panhandle all the time, but the price I was quoted today is insane.

Find an old food processor, coffee bean grinder, or a magic bullet at a yard sale. Put dried corn in it and grind it until it is a fine powder. Carry it in a ziploc or tupperware and as you walk to your stand, throw some of the dust up in the air and let the wind carry it down thru the woods

That is my secret weapon for late season. Heckuva lot cheaper than those store bought products that you have no idea what is in them, and we know everything in the woods eats corn

Last time in my lease I did that trick and had 2 hogs dead on the ground in 15 minutes. They walked in licking their noses

Great idea! I can just see them walking in licking their noses :tung
Will give it a try for sure.
Thanks

Last time I bought soybeans they were about $15/bag. That was last year at the feed store in Inglis. Not sure if they are "roasted", but they are the feed consumption

Sounds like they gave you a quote for soybeans for planting
