If ur so inclined, and don't have the extra $2-300 to spend on a metal feeder, you can "wrap" the plastic feeders the same way. just wrap the bottom cone section first and leave some flanges to attach to the metal on top. Galv flashing riveted to the feeder will work great.

Well, you got urself a choice to make...feed em some lead (which is a permanent solution for some, but a temp solution for the new critters), take down the feeder, wrap the feeder in metal as I suggested, or buy a steel feeder. I've tried feeding them lead, and all it does is make room for the "new guys".
I know, if I can't find a cheap barrel to mount it on I'll rig something up with chicken wire that I can just hang over it and remove easily. Want to put my twins on some porkers this year,gonna hook up a red dot on my .243 and let them sling some lead at them.
