I went to Ross Hamock Ranch and it was not very sporting. I spent all day riding around in a truck with a guide and he showed me all exotic animals. Then they put you in a stand or blind and let you shoot any animal you want. They process the game and donate anything you don't want to a local homeless shelter.

If you have an extra $500 it's worth just for seeing all the cool exotic game. I will go back with my 7 year old and Wife just to take a photo safari. They are super nice and the bunk house is awesome, plus they have great meals. The only problem is the cost. Some on the animals cost up to $40,000. But like I said I will only take pictures next time.

lol.. i was actually thinking about hunting texas. my friend lives there and he knows nothing about hunting.. i was going to do a guided service just to go and kill a monster buck and put it on the wall. funny thing is if you take the wrong shot at the wrong deer it can cost you over 10,000 dollars. they charge you by the size of deer you want to kill. the guy actually takes you an area and glasses the field then tells you what one you can kill with what you paid.. then asks "if you want to pay more you can shoot that bigger one over there" crazy right?
