They don't like it, like a little kid not wanting to get in trouble. I actually had a older man from la. give me one under the condition I learn to use it. So this weekend I have made all sort of weird noises. Lol but will master it. My other half does pretty good with it so we are teaching them the sound.

It looks to be horn. Many old horns are carved down at the neck like that or with similar shapes.
