Nope.. hes just an employee of the bsa council. He has no right to give hunting permission on BSA land. Now if its private owned land you would need permission from the OWNER not the ranger. If its BSA owned land kiss that idea good bye. National will never allow that. And if they had a problem they would hire a professional to remove them.
My scout camp in Pa has trophy bucks dying of old age and hunting is not permitted. Now what the ranger does on his spare time is his business.
Im telling you from personal experience.. Most scouts parents find out and the would make the biggest problem. Even if you had permission. Good luck on that one.
Thanks Crock1, I figured that it probably wasnt a good idea anyways which is why I asked.
Personnaly I dont kill animals I wont eat or otherwise use, so this would be a waste anyways.
and if the coyote is a nuisance like you said a proffesional would be a better anyways. Trap it alive and release it elsewhere.
G
private land rocks.. but that would be a mess.. lol.. And i was speaking from experience.
Hey Glowworm are you talking about Sand Hill Scout Reservation off of 50?
If so the Ranger (Dan) kills coyotes out there all the time. Ive heard it from him and also from other guys involved in scouting that he works with at the camp. They have lots of turkeys runnin around there with beards draggin on the ground. Ive seen them myself.
Im an Eagle Scout and have been going there since I was in the first grade
