yup, use them to your advantage and let them push game to you. stay put from 10-2pm when they are all back at the truck, your odds will go way up. like fighting rush hour, sleep in, be well rested and go in an hour before they are going out.

Yep people forget its public. It happens even on certain private lands though. Deal with it or fork out the $ to hunt elsewhere. Killing deer on public land consistently in florida is proof of a good hunter though. It also makes you appreciate a lease later on better.

Really, I cannot wait to go hunting this year. Of course I only hunt public land. It is great to have someone come sit near you. The reason is, I hunt alone and if I get something, then I will offer them half of the harvest if they assist me in dragging and skinning it. To me I do not mind sharing.

I really didn't like the lease. Every one was so worried about there little section to me it was to uptight. i also dont really like feeders ether.

Man today i hiked 3 miles with my stand on my back . Some times i like to to just walk. I taken quite a few deer over the years that way.

I am fortunate to still enjoy both worlds. I enjoy sitting in a comfy ladder(that you can walk to in flip flops) and staring at my corn feeder. I also enjoy the sweating balls and busting thru myrtle thickets and briar bushes to get to a tree line 1000 yards off a road that noone else will work as hard as me to get to on a WMA(like I did today)
The water, heat, and skeeters seems to have kept a lot of folks home. Only saw one other truck. Wish the hell I had the m/l and gun hunt for this WMA. But no, I had to play the stupid preference point game...
