Where is the barrel strut on that Mini?

I am telling you, groups from 3" with a stray, to all touching, that strut is the shizzat!

Haven't had the cash to do it yet. Mine shoots 1.5-2" now, which suffices for what I use it for at the moment. I do intend on putting a strut on it....I might see if my buddy's machinist/gunsmith will make one for me.

Looks like I'll just be getting a set of barrels for it as it'll cost me $30-40 in ammo and range time just to go to the range to spray and pray.....rather just start with something that I know will work and be able to cover a variety of uses.

Why not try a rifled extended screw in Rem choke before buying a new barrel. Have a friend who bought the rifled slug extended choke tube and swears by it. That might be the easiest and cheapest way to go....

Personally I'd go with a new Cantalever Rifled Slug 20" Barrel and drop a 4X Leupold on top, but that just me.

I have an older Rem 870 12 gauge 3", "Wingmaster Magnum" which I put a Synthtic Camo stock on, Recoil pad, Cantalever Rifled Slug 20" Barrel, Red dot scope, and had the entire gun Parkerized (minus Stock). I can shoot five shots in a 2"-4" group free hand at 100 yds. It might as well be a rifle.

You have every option in the world with that 870... Good choice...

Do you shoot sabots or rifled slugs with those rifled chokes? I don't know much about them and haven't found a whole lot of information regarding them online.

The only thing making me hesitate about the cantilevered rifled barrel is the fact that I would have to take off the XS sight system to do so....and I like the idea of having backup sights in the event that the scope fails for one reason or another....and the cost of sabots. When I get a rifled bbl, I will probably try to get it without the cantilevered scope mount.

Then again...I guess I can't complain too much about ammo prices when I also shoot a .300 Weatherby @ about $3.25/round.

I love 870's....it's like Barbie for men.
