I've had a few guys come out to hog hunt, that have never hunted before. And they all harvested. It was pretty cool. like hunting with kids. They got pretty excited. the owner of my regular come up to tampa. Got him his first kill. 65 years old. It was like he was 20 again. fired up.
This year I may be taking a few people hunting for their 1st time using the hunter mentor system.
My wife and I do volenteer work with an organization that helps young people who have aged out of the foster care system. These young men and women usually have not had the opportunity to go fishing or hunting and have asked me if I would take them.
Well you don't have to ask me twice! :laugh: Starting with gun safety and then going to the shooting range. After that I'm looking forward to taking some young folks to chase some hogs!

How does someone get involved in a program like that? I will be taking my daughters boyfriend but I would like to get others involved also.
i don't know about fl. georgia has a mentoring hunting liscense. You can get it without hunter's safety class but you have to hunt with regular liscensed hunter.
