I grew up hunting the hills of eastern Ky and western Ohio. Some really nice deer, some big bucks come out of Ohio, as well as quail, turkey, etc. Hunting was a dream up there, especially with the views surrounding at times Plenty of places to hunt if you do the footwork. ie word of mouth with like minded folks, shooting clubs, gun shop, local pub... in finding the good places to get permission to hunt off public land. Alot of nice free hunting spots with little competition. You will enjoy! Please keep us posted on your hunting exploits and plenty of pics so I can drool over the hills I miss wandering.
there is still good land around toledo area some public, lot of private but you should get some permission if you go about it right. don't rule out southern michigan also some really good land and lots of deer pretty much flat land with woodlots and farming in the whole tri state area
