I HAD a uncle no good in law
who had a fall that broke him up pretty bad -season ending- so I bought him a harness
the dumbass giggled at it and did not use it - Sold it and drank it
then fell again rebroke all previous and a couple others-another season wasted -
the following season he went even higher this time he fell and was in bed 6 months - was so busted up he was hardly able to move/function
ended up taking himself out -suicide from overdose of painkillers- and beer
bottom line if you are using a stand you can possibly fall out of dont be a dumbass USE THE THING
guess I need to get one. been hearing to many stories. Have fell from climber twice,but lucky I was already coming down and was only about 8' first time and 5' the second
I need to get a better one. I've slid down a telephone pole about 10 feet before when I was in line man training at Teco doesn't feel good at all. (Gaffs did not fit me and they wouldn't let me change them is the reason I fell)
if you don't wear one because it makes you uncomfortable, think how uncomfortable your family will be caring for you when paralysed or going to your funeral.
