This morning when I checked my feeder and game camera, I was greeted by a logging crew. They are not logging in my lease, but a neighboring plot of land, which is a 1/4 mile from my stand. Will the noise and movement ruin my chance of getting anything this weekend, or will it drive the game to my side. Also, do loggers work on weekends? :no
Depends on the crew. Most don't.
You will be suprized to know that the loggers will not run off the deer, because a lot of the times they see deer feeding right at the loading ramp. the good thing is that the more that they clear the less places that they will have for cover and might move them into your lease.

Foley works their crews daylight till dark on Saturdays, rarely on Sunday. I have seen deer close by to logging crews. wouldn't worry about it
You shouldn't be done. Our lease is the smallest piece that the timber company owns out of thousands of acres. It is only 340 acres and probably the driest property they own. So when the river swamps are full of water they have been coming to our hill for years to get wood during hunting season. It has never stopped us from killing deer, only aggraveted us as they would begin running way before daylight with the skidders and bunchers. Finally this small property has been completely cut and replanted and I will probably be dead and gone or at least to old to hunt when they begin any serious timber harvesting on this place. They may do some thinning practices in a few years but that only helps more browse to grow. Treefarmer
