Do ya think that doesn't happen with other quotas? Ever wonder why the same people always were on the same hunts over and over?

Ive only had to draw permits for three years now and every year all of my results have been identical, im not using fake names or anything lol

There's a place down south called Dinner Island or something like that, that's supposed to be a pretty good draw. A friend of mine told me about a guywho guided turkey hunts in there for big money.I never really understood how he did it,but it was done.

I know what went on and what's still going on. I spend a ton of time dealing with the brass at FWC and know exactly what's happening.

There's a difference between putting in 10 applications in the names of family members who allow you to do it in order to get drawn for yourself, and putting in 50 applications in the names of people from out of state and the deceased without their knowledge so that you can sell the hunt. The first one was legal under the rules of transferability when the permits could be passed around. These guys we're talking about were falsifying information and using people's identities without permission.

Under the old permit system, many of us put in applications for our wives and parents just to have a better chance at getting that permit. Most of us also would pass that permit along if we could not use it.

These guys were taking ALL the permits for a single hunt and selling the hunt while keeping everyone else out. Huge difference.

what realy fried my butt this year was the jan quota hunt for hog at homosassa that the people that got the quotas didn't even show up for. and the place sat empty not a soul there and they still wouldn't allow any walk ons.

That's a entire can of worms to open on permit tradin'.I was always for giving them away if not being used, but the traders and brokers ruined it for everyone.I mean really,it was hard enough to get drawn for some of the primo hunts, but then have someone who gets more than what he needs then sell them was just wrong.I really don't want to get back into that argument.
