FWC does not need probable cause. Lots of times local police agencies will have FWC present for that reason. They will write the hel out of speeding tickets too
I got messed with a few years back too. In Croom WMA. It left a very bad taste in my mouth and I lost a tremendous amount of respect for them (in general) after that incident.
that GW i mentioned before(hunting roads at night in Ga.) he was pulling what they call panther patrol on alligator alley. anywhere them panther crossing signs are he would set-up and radar. he was saying that they don't play. will nail you for the max.
All I can tell you, is it is pretty humiliating when you are trying to get home to a sick kid.....and a GW is going thru your suit case and throwin your clothes down in the friggin mud. And digging thru your cooler and throwing your food out on the dirt. And calling k-9 to sniff your truck(ive never done drugs once in my life). And being patted down for no reason.
If he would have took his gun belt off and layed it down I would have kicked his ass into the next county
i guess i have been lucky never really ran into a GW yet. not hunting anyways..I have one that lives down the street. he has stopped by when i was taking a hog out of my truck to hang in the backyard. also stopped when the boy and myself were showing the neighbor our turkeys last year. but he is alright.
