Be here at 6AM. Just gonna go bass fishin for a couple hours before it gets too hot. No problem, sounds good, will be there and will call u if there is any change.
Now 6:30. Boat hooked up. No show. Won't answer phone or texts.
I swear I don't know what is wrong with people anymore. What sucks even more is I got an invite to go saltwater fishing today, but didn't see the message till I got up this morning. Or I woulda had my ass down there

Sounds to me like you need to find ya a new fishing buddy. Looks like your buddy has the best of both worlds, goes fishing when "He wants" and doesn't have to own his own boat. As many people people that like to fish I wouldn't think it would be hard to find a replacement. Just don't look for the replacement the morning of go a couple of times without him and maybe he'll come around.
