I do have a question about this..
What happens to ones property when something such as this happens? Such as the boat, or the guys car that got hijacked and shot full of bullet holes? Does the local PD dept replace it? or does the owner have to go thru insurance? can the ins company call it an act of war and say tough shart?
I saw on another forum they had a breakdown of the boat/motor/trailer and it's valued over $50k
we would pay for damage to a house or vehicle inflicted during a search warrant. I would guess the insurance company would be getting a call.
for sure it will be evidence for quite a while, then returned to owner. likely he will be able to sell to someone for big money.maybe end up in the Smithsonion or FBI musseum. private collections are already being done, but imagine the gov't will buy him something better with all this publicity.
