Here are some pics before and after of my small skiff. This is the boat I grew up fishing out of. My dad sold it around 5yrs ago and I found it 2yrs ago in need of a lot of work... (someone had at one time a 20hp! The seat mount my brother and I built. I think I am going to make a jack plate to get the motor up 3". I am try some flats fishing :boat (if ya'll think its big enough) I've never been. I not sure if I move the motor out if I am going to need to make some floatation pods. If you see any thing i should do to it please let me know. Thanks :flag3

I had a local guy do the transome with star board, and he gel-coated the inside also. I did some repaires to the hull on the outside and painted her. Should I worry about fishing the flats in this boat?

Dunno. How high does she sit in the water loaded up? If you have more than 10" under the keel, you should be ok to scoot in slow, but it would be better to pole your way into the skinny water after you get to about 3-4 feet of water.
