Thanks for the feed back guys. It seems to be a difficult sport to just pick up and start. I may just try a guide hunt. If I really enjoy it I might start collecting supplies and educatings my self. I found a guy online Ron that does guides on Lake Okeechobee for $100 per person and he will rent waders for $5.

find ducks, get a duck call, get a duck blind, and go out and to it. its a learning process with any game you intend to start to hunt.

a guided trip the first time is a good idea, your paying for the education as well as the hunt, pay attention and don't be afraid to ask questions. for puddle jumping, a large weighted fishing snag hook with a 50' line is handy for reteiving ducks you cant quite reach, or a fishing rod/reel with snag.

Only duck hunting I ever did is when we would get all of our dogs loaded up we'd go sit on this road about an hour before dark mix a big morgan and coke then the woodies would start flying in by the thousands. Talkin' about slinging some lead, if the man would have ever showed up we'd still be in jail. But it was so fun.I think I got on or two.
