Where to start.... Friday slept in the car in the middle of nowhere and launched my canoe in the dark with a bunch of other kids and my son. Sunday am... I did the same with my daughter. At the age these kids were, they have my respect. It was pitch black... they did not care.. We were launching in a swamp... they did not care.. We were in a canoe that was loaded up an sometimes leaned... they did not care. All these kids are awesome.
What an incredible experience. I was in AWE. FWC had their yearly youth duck hunt days last weekend. My kids and I met up with Naustin and crew and had an absolute blast. Both my kids took their first ducks. Sat after the hunt there was a number of activities for the kids including raffles.
I can't say enough about this event for the kids. I saw info after the event last year and put this on the calendar 12 months ago. This was my first year participating but between the good people I was with (You know who you are!!) and the "extra" treatment on Sat from FWC-(UW-F)&DU, my kids
will never forget this trip. Heck... I am 42 and never shot a duck
myself. Seeing how incredibly fun this was I cant wait for the next season!
