Sta is a very long drive for me, that's the main reason I have not made it to lake o yet. Paddling for half hour is not so bad. Guess the key is how much gear to bring. With a boat I get to bring all the good stuff to cook breakfast and lunch coolers for drinks 3 dozen deeks. Some spots I hunt require 45 min ride and 30 min set up then breakfast and coffee. I like to be comfy when I hunt. This year I will hit some wma that have access by boat. I see way to many pigs on the creek bank holding a switch blade looking mean. Florida is a stand your ground state.

Very true. I remember pass shooting ducks I central Wisconsin. Walking a mile through floating grass pods carrying shotgun deeks ammo. One miss step and straight down waist deep mud and water. That was truly miserable. But I killed a ton drake mallards.
