It sounds like to me that if the dogs wanted out that quick and you did not see any bugs ect. that it is probley a chemical.
Could someone have sprayed something like round-up, bug killer,Borax or bleach that has not broken down yet or could some one just be mad at you and put something in the pen?
We did have a Basset Hound one time that got some kind of fungal infection on her feet that started out like that and then started crusting up, nothing the vet or we tried helped and we had to put her down but that did not effect the other dogs that were around her and it did not start off quite that quickly.
Please do let us know what you find out.

I would say that is chemical related, not from an insect bite or a sting

Well, our vet wasn't in so we talked to his partner and he told us to keep doing what we are doing since the dogs are starting to do better. The swelling is going down and we are now finding certain spots that are probably spot where they got bit by ? whatever it was it is knocking them back. We are giving them Antibiotics, benadryl, and bute. no fever, no appetite and sleepy. But that is all we can do for now. My knee is not as swollen, but I don't get no sympathy.

The benadryl won't put them asleep but they look like they are taking a trip and not leaving the kennel
