Nice fish. I'm jonesin too, but I gotta hold out for a couple mos before I spend more $$$. Plus, my honey-do list is so long, it'll take me almost that long before I'm even caught up till last November.

Looks like a good trip. You were in my neck of the woods. Ocean Reef is a 10 min. boat ride from the dock near my house. :toast

I lived off of 168th st. many years ago. I'm a little south of that now. Take the t pike south till the very end, take a left, find the golf course and your there, Keys Gate. Good school by the way. Lot better than we've got down in Homestead. :toast

I know where keys gate is I have friends that live there. I caught tons of bass in those lakes. They are all about the same average size but every now and then youll get lucky and hook a monster I caught an Eight pounder in one of those lakes in there. My family originally was from homestead as well. My dad and I fish bass tournaments all over the state and those canals around you are my old stomping grounds I can tell you some really great places to put in if you have a bass/john/flats boat.

You're living up in some fine bass country right now! My brother caught his second bass, a 12 pounder, in a small lake between Lake City and Live Oak. Believe it was named Lake Bethea (or "Bethay"). We lived in Lake City that summer and fished the dickens out of that little lake, as well as Ocean Pond and Lake Palestine. Lake Bethea was had just a few houses on the southwestern end back then. We took a little dirt road just passed the county line back to a "ramp" on the eastern side. We saw lunkers in there that would have gone 16-18 pounds easy.
