Should have known not to listen to the guy at the gate. Post up a report cause the missus wants to go there sometime. When I've gone I drove down for the day and came home that night. Only just over an hour drive for me. Nice to be near the keys since I love to fish but come hunting season I've got a LONG drive to get to camp.
I will post pictures and a report. I checked the reservation site yesterday and one more night became open on our site, so I booked it and we will have one more night added to our trip. Just check the site everyday. People are always cancelling.
Ok, We are back. Nice place, camp sites are right on the water but there is not much sand areas because of all the grass that is washed up from the flats right there. I waded out on the flats to fish, 2 small bones (2 pounders) and many Cuda in the 14-25'' range. I was using 10 line so had good fights. See attached pictures, if anyone has any questions about the park, just ask.
How bad were the no-seeums?
