when we are running dogs or hunting off the airboat we stop for lunch and break out the camp stove and cook up some deer backstrap, deer sausage, and any other game meat we have between us.
hope you had an umbrella. was he going for accuracy or distance?
We do the bacon, potatoes, onion dish too. Like to throw in some garlic while it's cooking and shredded cheese on top. My wife calls it 'garbage' but she eats till her lips hit the cast iron!! Works pretty well with breakfast sausage but you can't beat the smell of bacon and coffee in the morning. Add campfire smoke to the mix and the smell will make a gourmet turn redneck.
Nothin beats a fresh caught big ole hand sized bluegill....catch it, clean it, fry it right there on a coleman stove and cast iron skillet
gills n the oil now that sounds very good right now!
