WELL my wife wants to start slinging arrows with the rest of us. She cant even come close to drawing back any of the bows that i have due to never holding a bow before. What is a good starter or practice bow for her. Or even a way for her to build that muscle needed to get a good hunting bow?
If your on a lease she can cross bow. Other wise drop a bow poundage to the min 45 lb draw. After a month of shooting every day turn it to 50 and let her hunt.
The best exercise is actually shooting a bow. Even if its a 20# kids bow to get the muscle strength and muscle memory built up.
is she in reasonable age/shape/strength? no offense but no ginormous boobies to get in the way, if so a reg compound bow with the pull wt poundage turned all the way down to 45 lbs (I believe) she should be able to handle then increase as able. some weight training prior couldn't hurt. they used to make an excersize device called the bull worker that was similar to pulling a bow and not expensive, try craigslist for one.
