That sucks. I've had nothing but great luck with the Rage broadheads. Guess I'm one of the love-em kind of guys. I didn't think they were supposed to be used for crossbows...maybe that had something to do with it.

im with you 26 out of 27 found with the rage in the last three seasons.however i will agree that they are not a bone blade,shot placement is a must..
My brother loves the rages and my other buddies hate them. I only shoot fixed blades so I've never tried them, I had too many negative experiences with the first generation of expandables in the late 90s.
A good blood dog is worth it's weight in gold when you put a marginal shot on a deer. A buddy of mine used his dad's dog and they trailed one for 1.5 miles, jumped him and had to finish him off with a pistol by the time the dog caught it.
I'm another fixed blade hunter. Too many friends with bad experiences. One guy even had a through and through, the bloodied arrow stuck in the ground and the blades never did open! Never found the deer, either. Never used expandables again, either.
