I saw a nice Hoyt in black at the Value Pawn on 17-92 in Casselberry today that looked real nice...except the price $999.00. Does that sound right?
well i paid 939.70 after tax for my maxxis i have always had camo bows but the black with camo limbs got me the turbo hawk is a little cheaper i was looking at the Hoyt alpha-burner alpha-max bowtech destroyer and a few other bows from bear up to mathews and every thing in between the maxxis fit me the best i absolutely love it and im NOT a fanboy i love all bows my gf has a bear i started with a bear cub to a bear whitetail II to a bear flare to a bear TRX 36 then i almost bought a bear instinct but bass pro only had a 50-60 in 28" draw so i bought my first mathews switchback then another switchback tried to buy a PSE thunderbolt and i saw it was lefty and now my hoyt and before archery season opens my gf wants a bowtech admiral all black and papa_J that price seems a little high a new hoyt maxxis is around 879 alpha burner is 999 and carbon matrix is 1600 new
I'm thinking that the Hoyt at the pawn shop was the Carbon Matrix. I experienced a little sticker shock, so I didn't look much more at it. The limbs did have a silver/gray pattern on the outside of the limbs. My opinion, but unless you have money to burn or your job is target shooting, I can't see spending that kind of dough on a bow.
My Hoyt cost $550 but shares the same cams and limbs as the Alphamax which costs alot more $750. I'm 6-3 and my bow fits me perfect at 30"
I've got a PSE firestorm I bought about 10 yrs ago.It still shoots good but I was never really comfortable shooting it. HAs a single cam and all that and looks good but not like these newer models. The bow I had before that was a PSE mach flite 4. I'd set it at 80 lbs and shoot 10 to 35 yds with one site pin.
