+2,I think it takes away from what archery is. Oh well, maybe I'll get me one now.
what makes a bow, especially the modern ones better or more sporting? I can see the old long bow as being a better skill, all the modern bows are far superior...use a spear or knife between your teeth if you think it is more sporting... ethically taking game by a legal means should be applauded not looked down on.
i understand, I just bought a used CB because I have a bad shoulder and can't pull the bow string, I am looking foward to learning how to use it ...
looks like I may end up as a younger version of an old fart with a disability permit. doubt I'd be able to pull my bow back at over 45 lbs for this season anyway. no offense to any of you other old farts with a disability. with any luck it may save me some license$ and allow me to drive into new areas.
I have a torn shoulder reinjured from Viet Nam, but that does not have anything to do with it, . I still say if you are an archer, you build your own long bow and arrows then go hunting. why all the high tech bows, they are nothing more than a vertical crossbow. If you are serious go after those hogs with a 5-6 foot spear, ..I know at least one on here has killed a hog with each of his spears, no dogs, so to me that is a heck of a hunt. That is why I use a 357 0r 308...lol
