anyone else use a crossbow?
in florida you need a doctors approval to hunt with a cross bow.. you have to physically not be able to draw a string. Meaning broken shoulder or arm injury. I have only seen one person hunting with a cross bow ever and he looked fine.. i guess the doc was his friend.

we also have a regular xbow season for private land. it falls between muzzleloader and general gun. next year it might include public land. and yes you can use one on public land without a doctors note during the general gun season, but not during archery
I have one, but I don't really hunt with it. It was my dad's. He hunted with it for many years and killed a pile of game with it. I drag it out and shoot it in the yard every once in a while
There are alot of doctors that sign off on those disabled permits more than are needed. I have seen many able bodied guys toting crossbows around. In a few years they will be legal across the board during archery. Trust me on this
I actually prefer my bow over a crossbow
In a lot of states they are legal to use during archery season.
