i always thought of shooting off of my roof, but i KNOW the cops would be at my house in a matter of minutes. im pretty sure that im allowed to shoot in my yard, but out of respect to my nieghbors and not wanting them to worry anymore than they do, cause i have seen them watching me shoot from the ground, i think its probably not worth the hastle. the treestand though, thats a bit more concealed.

the first time i went bowhunting, i had never shot from an elevated position, so i took some practice shots while i was up there to get acclamated. turns out, i really didn't have any business actually hunting at that time looking back and seeing how badly i could have wounded a deer with a poorly placed shot. i guess it was a good thing i didn't get the opportunity to make the mistake at that time. now, i am much more confident in my abilities and would still feel crappy if i made a bad shot, however now i think its more of a reasonable situation.

I know a guy that used a stand for the first time this year, I told him to practice from it. he said what for, he missed twice, swears it was stringjump and still believes hell be alright wothout elevated practice
