90% sure that is your problem if you are shooting pellets i'm 100% sure thats it also tri7 powder is good for that two but the pellets are the worst. if its a inline ( you didnt say) as said above pull the plug out dump the powder/pellets out then get a ball puller as said above and remove from the muzzle end. also if the bullet hit the target the sabot will not be in the barrel. with almost every powder or pellet out there exept black horn 209 you need to swab the barrel after each shot with at least one spit patch and two sides of a dry patch. before attempting to load another round. also if you are using trip 7 or pellets dont use 209 primers use wincleans, remington clean bore, or trip 7 primers. now if its a side lock gun just pull the bullet with a bullet puller or as nacho said get a co2 load discharger. but before you do puor water down the flame channel by pulling the nipple out to kill the powder or pellets. let us know what you end up doin and how it went for ya. be safe black powder can be a bitch!

using some sticks (pellets) i would say you are correct, but the cleanest load i have ever found and have been using for 3 years now in my T/C pro Hunter is Shockies Gold American Pioneer Sticks, i can fire 7 rounds with out cleaning, and they say that you can go a lot more without cleaning... There was a comerical that Jim Shockey had that his friend did 1000 rounds with out cleaning, now i know that was probably not using sabots but it really is a clean powder
