They eat the greens, but only after the frost hits em (which doesn't kill em). We sit and watch em from like 100 feet away at night. There are about 6 deer that come back every night to my uncle's place, and the fire and stereo and loud mouths don't scare em none.

Rad, the feed store in Wacissa has all that. Also the Ace hardware in Woodville has everything too

What did you end up planting?
I picked up a 50# bag of Iron clay peas . Gonna stop at the feed store on the way up and get a few pounds of sorghum and buckwheat to add to it. Really glad I found the ICP's. They were hard to find last year

I'm gonna stop at another feed store and get a few pounds of sorghum and some buckwheat to add to mine. I plan on disking it, then liming and fertilizing, then re-disking it all in. Then seed and drag. Ill go back in a week or 2 and add a couple bags of Milorganite around the edges to try to keep the deer off. I might build a scarecrow to put in the middle of the plot for a few weeks so it can get some height to it before the deer mow it down

Also, something else cool to do..

Build a little wire cage out of hardware cloth and box in a little area maybe 2x2 feet square. It lets the plot grow in without the deer hitting it so you can actually see how much they are eating

Yep. Best way to see how much your plots are growin. Otherwise, you just end up guessing.
