There's plenty of places like that in Kendall. I used to fish in a bass league and we put in off of Kendall Dr. somewhere, can't remember exactly but it was Snapper Creek, and there was canals and lakes tied together that you could walk. I'm gonna take my bike tomorrow and try this canal out. 3 - 5 lbrs all day? :eek I'll check on a few other walkable spots too and keep you updated. :rockon
Yeah, I like the sound of 3-5 pounders! If I'm making the trip I want to get into some good ones.

OK boys. I decided to go check out the spot I told y'all about. Stopped at the bait shop and ran into 2 young guys that fish the same spot and they said it was a great place. About that time the game warden comes around and I ask him about any good spots and he tells me the same place so I figure I gotta go.
Ride the bike down about 2-3 miles and get to the area they're talking about. 1st thing I notice is gators everywhere so I'm gonna have to pay attention to what's going on around me. After 5 min. fishing a jig they told me to use I get the 1st 1 of the day. Next cast I get another. Caught 8 more with all of them between 1-2 lbs. 
Starting to walk back to my bike I spot a huge pea right on the edge. Probably 7-10 lbs. I make a couple casts and nothing. Try a few more times and he takes it! Now I had been catching smaller ones so my drag was a little loose at the time. :pinch He starts taking drag like a 40 lb snook so I tighten it down and fight him for a minute or so and he wraps me on a log and I ended up having to break him off. I wanted to cry.
I decide to start riding back towards my truck and get a little ways and see a fishy looking spot so I decide to sneak up and make a cast. As soon as my lure hits the water a big boy slams it and the fight is on. Got my drag pretty tight and working 12 lb. power pro so figure it's a done deal. Fight him for a couple minutes and muscle him to shore. My guess is 5-7 lbs. 
I promise the 1 I lost was even bigger!!!!!
Decided to end the day on a good one and came on home. Thinking about maybe trying to hit the canals in the Kendall area tomorrow to scout it out a little. :toast
I almost forgot. I only fished for about 1 1/2 hrs. :cool2
