Mother's Day
My mom went to be with Jesus 7 years ago, so she won't mind if I go fishing.
Economically, the weekend of May 15-16 would be better for me (payday that Friday!). Could probably even take that Friday off and head down early that morning. Only bad thing is DONY won't be around for the good times!
I'm gonna order me some Rat-L-Traps, crankbaits, and some other lures from http://www.overstockbait.com , re-spool my spinning reels with braid, maybe pick up a new baitcaster and get used to using it. Gonna put a hurtin' on them pea-bass!

OK guys. I finally got the secret spot from Ashley at Don's Bait and Tackle down here. He says I need a boat to get to a dam, tie off and walk about 1/2 a mile but it's the hottest spot in Dade county. He said a 50 fish day is almost guaranteed. He sent some guys on vacation that wanted to catch 'em on fly and they came back with stories of about 30 peas averaging 3-5 lbs. It's way out of the way with no homes anywhere near and doesn't get fished hardly at all. I'm gonna try to drive out that way to see how far back it is and will report back. :toast
