I assume it's just a stiff rod nothing special. What's better a jig or one of those creatures ?

i know they are really long like 7'11" if i remember

bass pro extreme. 20lb powerpro braid with mono backing on a quantum IM6 7'rod.
mitchell spinning reel on a 7.5' medium action graphite rod 10lb ande mono fast tip.
Tarpon 120 fishing kayak.

They're great when fishing a shoreline with lots of cattails. Just reach in and drop it on top of them!
