Sorry guys but I'm just now seeing this post. I'm definitely down in peacock country. We've got a ton of them on the golf course but the new managment stopped everyone from fishing the lakes even though a bunch of us personally stocked them 8 or so years ago. :ahole I don't target them specifically but know of a few places that are supposed to be really good and the guides fish these same spots. Let me know if any one wants to get together down here and I'll see if I can get some good spots. A gheenoe or even a canoe would be the way to go. I know the lakes around MIA are loaded and the canals leading to them too. :rockon
Canals in Boca area are full of em. The one off of the Turnpike between SW18 Street and Glades Road has lots of em.
sounds like a good time fishing for them!
ive seen them on tv just pull over in a residential area or near a hiway and fish the canals.. im told they are in plain sight in and bodies of water that you never would think to fish..
When my son was going to FAU I saw a couple of places on the west side of Boca I wanted to try out, just never got a chance.
I'll have to throw the canoe on top of the truck and head your way sometime soon, DONY!
