howdy yall ive been tryin to catch some bass and pan fish on fly. any one do it? for some darn reason i get to where all i wana fish is fly lol

I used to throw top water poppers and had great sucsess. Small ones work great for pan fish, and larger ones for bass.
Fly fishing is rewarding like bowhunting is. More of a challenge and you appreciate your harvest more.
I got an 8wt and have diligently tried to throw it out of my kayak for skinny water fishing. I cannot master it sitting that low in the water. It looks like I am tossing a helicopter prop in the water. Standing up I am fairly good at it
yes ive fly fished for bass before and i used the popper style flies for them with success they were baby bass i caught at time but fun and rewarding never the less and some fly in salt for reds as well
I used tied frogs,leech,crawfish,minnow types and one I made up with feather and a wine bottle cork.Was fun to use poppers also but I tended to go more toward the tied hair baits weighted or non.
