Not fishing just bass fishing. I've ate bass there nasty tasting fish if I wanted to eat fish it would be pan fish. Bass are more of a sport fish for me. I don't keep then an don't plan to unless I get that 25+ inch bass. I plan on fishing tournaments so why stray away from the style of fishing I'll be doing? I can bass fish with plastics an crank baits an still have fun I like playing with the worms jerking an etc also like throwing out top water plugs and watching fish smashing them I'm not a sit down an watch my bobber type of fisherman to me that's boring.

You are incorrect about bass being nasty,I fried a dozen of them up two days ago and they're as good as anything else. As far as how and why you fish,to each their own,I fish for fun and food. I enjoy fishing live bait and artificial, salt and fresh and do well at any of them. My largest bass 81/2 lbs was off of a top water plug, largest snook 23 lbs off of a greenback minnow.

Personally, I will eat a bass over just about any other fish out there. Pretty white meat. Just my opinion

I season the filets, shake them in a bag of corn meal and deep fry. Chase with a cold brewski. That's pretty much how I cook all my fish, I grill mahi and those types.
