I have made five freshwater fishing trips thought out this past month and i have caught nothing. I have used white worms, red lizard, rapala original floater, beetle spin and countless lures. This basses are making me crazy. I think i am fishing in places were no basses are located. Probably going to give it go this afternoon and see what happens. I'll buy a horny toad and try that out.

I fish mostly next to krome avenue, near the Miccosukee's Casino in Dade county. I tried the canal next to Okechobee road the other day with no luck, it looked deserted. Also within the city(Hialeah).
Try a short shank live bait hook and nose hook a worm or any soft plastic.The action is good and can be a good set up for neutral feeding fish because u control all the action.I will even use a circle hook I think it is the L197 EAGLE CLAW lite wire!Try all methods until it works for you and keep going good luck!
iv noticed that some places are on fire , and some are dead. Florida is weird like that.. I think its something in the water quality of the pond or lake. Also i noticed that once it gets past 90 degrees its game over.. if its like 88 or 89 its still fish on.. This i have actually taken note of.. My pond with the huge bass in it is completely dead. Bottom like. Fished middle of night, early morning, during the day, One time all day.. Used every single type of bait. This pond does this every year. It will be on fire. Then go completely dead. And theres no real pressure there but me. I always make sure in my box i have, Rattle Traps, Spinners, Poppers, Buzz baits, and xraps.. That pretty much covers the whole shabang. I have not used frogs yet.. no lilly pads no where i fish..

too hot out.. they almost allways bite on these three things around by me. Top water popper, Purple worm, or rattle trap. IF they dont bite at one of those i give up after an hour or so. But thats just my pond. i didnt get a bite at my pond in almost a week but tore it up at every other pond.
