Goodoyster I grew up on a canal in miami. If your ever planning a peacock bass fishing trip I can tell you where to go, what to throw, when to throw it. I can even get you on some excellent largemouth bass fishing as well. Just to get you started on your google map quest type in...sw 168th st miami fl 33157... the canal that runs thru there is loaded with peacocks and is the one my house was on. Theres a boat ramp behind the falls on sw 136th street and two others on that canal. Any other Q's just shoot me a pm.
Thanks, will do. :rockon
Know anything about this area?

That Everglades Holiday Park has a boat launch and campground, and that spot where those canals and rivers come together just west of the spillway looks fishy as hell! It would only take me about 3 hours from here to be there.
I fished there a little bit. Those canals tie in to 75 and I've caught fish all over there. Never caught any peacocks there but a ton of largemouth.
Nice peacocks, congrats on getting others into the sport. Peacocks are hot right now. :toast
thanks
