What Al said. They have a late rut in there. Plus all the high water has moved deer and hogs to other spots. It takes some time for them to get back normal once the water is back down. It will get hot in a few weeks.

Just don't do like the moron did about 4 or so years ago. He didn't read the regs thoroughly enough and thought deer season was still open (it was in private land, had closed on wma's). He went in there in small game and shot a monster 10pt. Rolled up to the 471 check station with a big grin on his face
His smile turned to messed britches when the check stn attendant informed him deer season was closed and she had no choice but to calll FWC. I heard they threw the book at him
