Have only turkey hunted there. How is general gun and archery. Never deer hunted in Fl. just georgia. See lots of game there. (when seasons are closed) lol.
I've heard allot of good things about three lakes, but I've never made it out there. I do hunt other Wma's not to far from there and have good success in them.
was scouting there, just prior to turkey season. drove to the back by the concrete dike. in about 120 yds of driving saw 10 turkeys, 8 hog and 5 deer. And didn't even get out the truck yet. Might check into going out there. just here alot of horror stories come out of the WMAs. Alot of people.
Yeah most of it is BS. If you show up on opening weekend yeah it's gonna be a mad house. Or on holiday weekends. Most people only hunt a few weekends out of the season and those tend to be the ones. On week days I've hunted Wma's were their were only 20 to 40 people for 20,000+ acres. Yes you will get mad when some A-hole messes up your hunt, but some times it works in your advantage. I just make the best out of it. It's always better then going to work :rockon:
might look into going. depends how busy my weekends get. when i'm not in georgia, will probably be doing hog or bird hunts. :rockon: :rockon:
