I have the hunt in St. Marks NWR for the Wakulla unit for December 10-11-12. Just looking ahead and see if anyone else has that particular hunt. I am looking at splitting costs for a motel or campground, plus meals. I don't really like hunting alone on these road trips like this. If anyone else has it, hit me up. Unfortunately there is no guest permit for these hunts, so you have to have a quota

There's a campground right outside the gate that seems fairly decent. I think they may be booked up by now though.

Successful hunt at St. Mark's this past weekend. Got there on Thursday afternoon scouted a couple hours before dark. Found some nice rubs, hog and deer droppings, and a scrape; all in the middle of a palm tree forest next to the marsh. Got up in the stand Friday morning at 5:30 a.m. and froze my butt off. Couldn't feel my feet, and fought getting out of the stand from 8:00 - 9:00 am. At 9 I decided to give it a few more minutes and at 9:15 this 6 point stepped out about 75 yards away. He was walking his rub line. Put the cross hairs on him and squeezed the trigger. Dropped him in his tracks. His brow tines never came in but it had pretty good mass. It was a great hunt...

Last photo is the view from my stand.
